Before you begin
Site location is important for the proper operation of the Secure Router
2330/4134. Ensure the area where you install and use the Secure Router
2330/4134 meets the following environmental requirements:
•
Ambient temperature between 32 and 104 F (0 and 40 C)
•
Noncondensing relative humidity

•
No nearby heat sources such as hot air vents or direct sunlight
•
No nearby sources of severe electromagnetic noise
•
No excessive dust
•
Adequate power source within six feet; one circuit required for each
power supply (see table, AC and DC power specifications)
•
At least 2 inches (5.08 cm) on each side of the switch unit for
ventilation
•
Between 2 to 3 feet (ft) (0.61 to 0.91 meters [m]) of additional
clearance around the Secure Router 2330 for access to the cable
connectors on the front and front panels
Installing the Secure Router 2330/4134 on a table or shelf
You can install a single Secure Router 4134 on any flat surface that
can safely support the weight of the router with interface modules, one
(non-PoE) power supply, and fan tray installed (25 pounds or 11.34
kilograms).
You can install a single Secure Router 2330 on any flat surface that can
safely support the weight of the router with interface modules installed (8.5
pounds or 3.85 kilograms).
