Important: Read first!
• WARNING: Read this instruction manual carefully. Study the illustrations in the manual carefully before using
the car seat and during installation. The Rodi XP is a safety product, but only offers optimal protection when
used according to these instructions.
• WARNING: Correct threading of the seat belt is of vital importance for the safety of your child. The seat belt must
be threaded along the red markings on the Rodi XP. See the "Placing your child in the Rodi XP" section and/or
the instruction label on the side of the Rodi XP. NEVER thread the seat belt in a manner other than the one
described in this manual.
• WARNING: For the future use of the car seat, it is important that you store the instruction manual in the space
provided under the Rodi XP Comfort Base mounting plate.
• WARNING: NEVER leave your child unattended in a car.
• WARNING: NEVER use a car seat on a seat equipped with a front airbag, as this could result in death or injury.
This does not apply to so-called side airbags. The safest position is the middle of the rear seat, PROVIDED it is
equipped with a 3-point safety belt. If not, install the Rodi XP on the right or left-hand side of the seat, and
make sure your child sits in the middle of the Rodi XP and does not lean forward. Check this regularly. In
addition, make sure you follow the instructions pro-vided by the car manufacturer. See car user manual.
• The Rodi XP must only be used on a forward-facing seat equipped with an automatic or static 3-point safety belt
that meets the ECE R16 or an equivalent standard. NEVER USE A 2-POINT SAFETY BELT, as this could result in
death or injury in the event of an emergency stop or collision.
• The Rodi XP may be used on either the front or back seat. However, we recommend installing it on the rear seat.
Make sure you lock all fold-down rear seats. The backrest of the car seat must ALWAYS be in an UPRIGHT
position.
• The Rodi XP has been approved according to the latest European safety standards (ECE R44/03) and is suitable
for children weighing 15 to 36 kg (approx. ages 3
• Following an accident, the seat may become unsafe due to damage that is not visibly apparent. It should
therefore be replaced.
• The safety of the seat can only be guaranteed by the manufacturer when used by the original owner.
• We therefore strongly advise against using second-hand products, as you never know if they have been involved
in an accident.
• No alterations may be made to the Rodi XP, as this could affect part or the overall safety of the seat.
