Connection of pipes and fittings

L
Where 3/8" BSP rigid pipes or hoses are used in connections between pipes and fittings
I
(diameter of approximately 9.7 mm), carefully respect the pipe dimensions. Pipes of a
S
lower diameter do not guarantee a pressure/vacuum seal. Pipes with a higher diameter,
H
conversely, have to be forced into their housing and this adversely affects installation
of retaining rings (3 and 4) for a poorer seal. When working on fittings that are already
installed, always replace retaining rings (3 and 4) with equivalent new parts (65-AC and
65-AA). When installing, ensure that the end of pipe (1) fully enters the housing of fitting (5)
to ensure maximum grip. If a flexible tube is used, tighten pipe collar (2) firmly by hand; for
better performance, we recommend the use of accessory FAB0040 (5), which should be
inserted into the front of the flexible tube. However, if a rigid tube is used, close the pipe
collar (2) using a wrench, in this case close with a torque wrench between 1.5 and 2.5 Nm.

How to connect the valve to the rise pipe

It is enough to shorten the free end of the riser tube to
a length between 0 and 6 mm from the upper edge of
the tank. Remove the sharp edges (2 mm x 30°) to avoid
damage to the seal during installation. See drawing.
