These cables connect a validated SpO
Philips patient monitors if the cable is listed as an accessory in
the monitor's Instructions for Use.
Before use, verify that combination of instrument/adapter
cable/extension/sensor is specified in the HP/Agilent/Philips
Instructions for Use. Unspecified combinations may result in
patient injury.

Cleaning and Disinfecting
Use only the approved agents listed. Others may damage the
cable or its connecting wires, shorten the product lifetime, or
cause safety hazards.

Never immerse or soak the cables or connectors in liquid. Do
not allow the cleaning agent or disinfectant to remain on the
cable; wipe it off immediately using a cloth dampened with
water.
If you see signs of physical or electrical deterioration or
damage, replace the cable. Do not use it for further patient
monitoring. Disinfect, decontaminate, and dispose of it
according to local laws for hospital waste disposal.
Cleaning
Use a lint-free cloth moistened with warm water (40°C/104°F
maximum) and soap, or a diluted non-caustic detergent, or a
1% salt solution.
Disinfecting
Use a lint-free cloth moistened with one of these low level
disinfectants:.
Alcohol based
Ethanol 70%, Isopropanol 70%, Microzid Liquid
Aldehyde based
®
Cidex
Clean the cable before disinfecting, and disinfect only when
necessary, as determined by your hospital's policy, to avoid
long-term damage to the cable.
Do not autoclave the adapter cable or use bleaches containing
sodium hypochlorite such as Clorox.
