WARNING
The oil must be collected in the compressor to
ensure lubrication and cooling. Wait at least 30
minutes after installing the air conditioner before
starting it up.
WARNING
Check that the power cables are installed suf-
ficiently far away from the alarm, monitoring and
LAN connection cables if present.
WARNING
Check that the power supply cable and the ter-
minals, including the PE terminals, are properly
connected.
Power the air conditioner. The air conditioner will start
operating according to the operating logic described in
chapter "9. Control and operating logic". Avoid stops and
immediate restarts of the compressor by switching the
air conditioner on and off or by using the remote com-
mand (at least 6 minutes must pass), this also applies to
the version with mechanical controller.
Testing mode: it is possible to carry out a testing pro-
cedure of the air conditioner to test correct function-
ing of the main components without having to reach
the set point. Refer to the "Testing mode" paragraph at
chapter "9. Control and operating logic".
First checks after start-up: check that the outlet air
in the room flows regularly and is not even partially
recycled, that the air circulates evenly inside the cabi-
net and that there are no obstructions. Check, while
the unit is running, that the power supply voltage and
current values match with the plate values, that there
are no alarms, that the fans operate correctly and that
the unit works according to the intended logic. In mod-
els with three-phase power supply, check the correct
rotation direction of the compressor. If the compressor
operates incorrectly it can quickly get damaged. If the
direction is incorrect, reverse the wiring. You can check
that the compressor is operating correctly in two ways:
by detecting the temperature of the condenser outlet
air, if it is significantly higher than the external air tem-
perature, the compressor is operating correctly, or by
detecting the evaporator outlet air temperature, if this
is significantly less than the suction air temperature, the
compressor is operating correctly. Otherwise, the com-
pressor rotates in the opposite direction and the phase
sequence must be reversed.
Shutdown: no special attention is required for switch-
off. Disconnect voltage to the unit.

Mechanical thermostat
The thermostat must be adjusted within the +25°C /
+45°C limits. The adjustment must be performed, by
using a screwdriver, by expert personnel operating on
the pin of the thermostat, after having removed the
voltage and the panel of the air conditioner by discon-
necting the earth cable. The thermostat has a hyster-
esis of 4°C, therefore start-up of the compressor will
take place at a temperature of approximately 4°C above
the stop one. After the adjustment, reclose the air con-
ditioner by screwing the previously removed panel by
reconnecting the earth cable.
Electronic board
Display / keyboard description: CUVN models
(except CUVN03) are equipped with a display/key-
board on the machine to display the operating condi-
tions, the unit status and any alarms and can be used to
change the operating parameters. For CUON units the
display/keyboard is supplied separated, as an acces-
sory if ordered.
An image of the display is shown below.
