2 Turn off the power switches on the computer and
printer. (Computer power switches are often marked
with the symbols
WARNING: Always turn off computer power before beginning any computer
hardware change.
3 Locate the computer's parallel port (printer port) by
tracing the printer cable from the back of the printer to
the computer.
4 Disconnect the printer cable from the computer. (Note:
If you have more than one parallel port, simply
connect the tape drive to the extra parallel port.)
