Defective apparatus must not be used, must be
removed from service and returned to MSA for
inspection.
User specific conditions may require shorter
intervals.
The service life depends on the type and kind of
treatment to which the apparatus were subjected.

The intervals are based on the date of manufac-
ture (month/year) on the container bottom.
Apparatus manufactured in the same year may
be combined for inspections.

A service contract with the MSA Customer
Service is recommended

Complete-check = includes full internal exami-
nation. The result determines about the further
use of apparatus.

Tightness check with leak tester D1118845 or by
MSA service.
5)
Check if the lead seal is intact and no outer
damages exist.

Records
Records should be kept for each SSR. These
include serial number, date of manufacture date
apparatus was put into service as well as mainte-
nance measures.
