ning it to the desired position and securing it there by tightening
the nut up to its fixed end-stop. The layout for these components
can be seen in the figure 2.
Tighten again the pump screw nuts.

6. ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION

6.1. PROTECTION ZONE

The electrical installation of the bathtub must comply with the
present regulations on low voltage. Thus, it is important to re-
member that in a bathroom with a bathtub, there are four volu-
mes of protection, defined as shown in the figure 4.
Areas containing active parts must be inaccessible to people
using the bath.
Ground-clamped equipment must always be connected to a
fixed electrical ducting.
Parts that have electrical components (except remote control de-
vices) must be placed or fastened in such a way that they cannot
fall into the bathtub.

6.2. EQUIPOTENTIAL CONNECTION

The metal elements of the bathtub must be connected equipotentia-
lly.
To be specific:
- The motor and bathtub (cast iron models) are already con-
nected to the equipotential installation.
- The support terminal, near the motor, should be connected
to the equipotential installation of the bathroom. This wire
too
should be 2.5 to 6 mm
2
- If the drain is made of metal, it must be connected to the
support using a cable with a section measuring 2.5 to 6
mm
.

(Fig. 5).

6.3. CONNECTING TO THE MAINS

Coming out of the control unit is a lead consisting of three, 1.5
mm
conductors, which should be connected to the mains elec-
2
tricity supply.
To carry out this connection, it is important to bear in mind the
following points:
- The bath's power suply must be permanently connected to
a fixed electricity line.
- Only the lead supplied with the bath, or one that is identical
to it in type and diameter that complies with the correspon-
ding regulations on low voltage installations, should be used.
In the event that, due to failure, it is necessary to handle or
replace the power cable, this must only be done by Technical
in sectional area.
Service staff. Otherwise, it cannot be changed or replaced
by another one.
In the event of entirely replacing the lead supplied, remember
that the yellow/green earth wire should be at least 40 mm lon-
ger than the live and neutral wires. The reason for this is that
if the lead is pulled at any time, the earth wire will be the last
to come off the terminal strip, thus safeguarding the electrical
protection.
- If the power connection is located underneath the bath, it
must only be done using a system with a grade IP x 5 protec-
tion at least, and situated more than 20 mm above the floor.
- The power lead should be connected to a 230 VAC/ 50 Hz ~
60 Hz supply and to earth.
- The electrical installation of the bath must be protected by
means of a 30 mA differential switch and a suitable magneto-
thermal of a 6A, with devices for omnipolar disconnection and
an aperture distance of at least 3 mm. Both switches must be
placed outside the bathroom.
Use an IPX5
watertight connection box (ROCA reference
289310000), with screwed-on t-terminal sockets that will withs-
tand the maximum power consumed by the bathtub, and are
suitable for the section of the supply cable wires.
Connection permitted at the different volumes (Fig. 4).
Volume 0: If the connection is made underneath the bathtub,
the protection standard must be IPX5 and more than 20mm
from the floor.
Volume 1: Not permitted.
Volume 2: Not permitted,
Volume 3: The sockets are only permitted if they are properly
protected from the power supply by an insulation transformer
or automatic switch with a differential current protection devi-
ce of no more than 30 mA.

7. ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT

(Fig. 6).
8. CONNECTING UP THE WATER MASSAGE
PUSH-BUTTON
This is not necessary as the appliance leaves the works already
prepared. Nevertheless, in the event of having to disconnect the
push-button, the procedure is as follows:
- Unscrew the stuffing-box cap
- Unscrew the base of the stuffing-box
- Disconnect the electrical connection
To assemble it, proceed as follows:
- Fit the plug into its socket. Their polarity does not matter.
- Screw on the base of the stuffing-box.
- Screw on the stuffing-box cap, thereby securing the elec-
trical hose.
- Be careful not to force the cable of the female connector.
