Batteries
Always use 4 good quality AA 1.5V alkaline batteries to ensure the best performance of your
product. This product is NOT designed for use with rechargeable batteries. To insert or
change the batteries please follow the steps below:
Remove the compartment cover from the
front of the Microchip Cat Flap Connect.
After inserting the batteries, the indicator light will initially light up for 2 seconds. Leave the
unit for about 10 seconds before allowing a cat into the tunnel - this allows the electronic
sensors to settle properly.
When the batteries start to run low, the indicator light will flash red once every
5 secs. Note that this indicator is different from the fast flashing (every second) when
you add a pet.
