31. This appliance is not intended for use by
people (children included) with reduced
physical or mental capacities, or with
insuffi cient experience or knowledge,
unless they are under the supervision of
a person responsible for their safety, or
have been instructed on how to use the
appliance.
32. Children should be kept under adult
supervision to ensure that they do not
play with the appliance.
33. To avoid the risk of fi re, do not place
the power cable under carpets or close
to radiators, or gas and/or electrical
heaters.
34. Do not place the humidifi er in rooms with
very low temperatures (<5°C).
35. The characteristics of this product may
be modifi ed at any time, without prior
warning.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Preliminary Operations
Check that the power cable plug is
disconnected from the mains.
Check that the lid cover unit (6) is
fitted properly and locked in place by
the fastener screws (7) on the tank
(2), fill the tank with cold drinking or
distilled water up the Max level(3)
(Diag.3) via the continuous water
supply inlet (5), being very careful not
to exceed the MAX level (3) indicated
on the tank.
Attention: The water will take a few
minutes to completely fill the heating
tank.
Carefully pour the oil or aromatic
liquid into the essence container (4)
(Diag. D), making sure the liquid never
comes into contact with the external
surfaces of the tank or drips inside the
appliance through the dispenser nozzle
or the inlet used to refill the tank (5)
Place the appliance in the selected area,
following the indications specified in
the Warnings paragraph.
Connect the power cable plug to a
mains socket that is easy for adults to
access.
How to Operate the Appliance
Press the button to the (l) position; the
indicator LED (1) will light up (Diag. E).
Adjust the direction of the steam fl ow
by moving the nozzle (4) (Diag. F),
making sure it is not directed towards
people,
furniture,
electrical appliances or objects that
may be sensitive to heat, water and/or
humidity.
Attention: the steam fl ow will start
to be released a few minutes after the
appliance has been switched on.
Attention: never approach your
face or hands to the steam nozzle (4)
or obstruct it with any objects. The
temperature of the steam could cause
series burns.
Attention: when the water in the
tank runs out, the appliance will stop
heating after a few minutes, the on/off
button (1) will remain in the (I) position and
the indicator LED will switch off. Switch off
the appliance by pressing the switch (1) to
the (0) position (Diag. E), disconnect the
plug from the power socket and refi ll the
water tank as indicated in the Preliminary
Operations paragraph.
Attention: the appliance is fi tted
with an automatic device that switches
off the heating element used to produce
the steam when there is no water left
in the tank. In order to start the steam
dispenser again, you must fi rst switch the
device off and then back on again (1)
Attention: if the indicator LED
on the on/off switch (1) goes off, even
when the on/off switch (1) is in the I
position and there is water in the tank,
this means there is a malfunction. Should
this happen, do not use the appliance and
contact one of Artsana S.p.A.'s authorised
service centres.
Attention: never remove the lid
cover unit (6) before switching off the
appliance and disconnecting the power
cable plug from the mains socket.
To switch off the appliance, press the
button (1) t o the (0) position (Diag. E).
