4 MAINTENANCE

4.1

Battery installation or replacement

The meter is powered by 9 V power regulared from transformer or 6 piece of
1.5V battery. Refer to Figure 3 and use the following procedure to replace the battery:
1. Disconnect test leads from any circuit under test, turn the ON/OFF switch on the
rear pannel to off and remove the test leads from the meter.
2. Open the accessory compartment by pressing back and up on the button. Remove
any stored accessories.

3. Using a slot-head screwdriver, key, or other appropriate tool, pry open the top of the
battery cover and lift the cover out.
NOTE: Use only 1.5 V R6 type batteries.
4. Disconnect the battery connector leads and remove the battery from the battery
box.
5. Replace the new battery to battery box and snap the battery connector leads to the
terminals on battery box.
6. Reinsert the battery conver in the multimeter.
