7.2.1 Connection of the potential-free contact (AlarmControl 1 only)
WARNING! Danger of electric shock
Pull out the mains plug before opening the equipment.
• Undo the 4 screws on the bottom of the housing and remove the top of the
housing.
• Take cable (e.g. for flashing light or horn) to the terminals 1 and 2 connection
(see Fig. 3).
• Make strain relief and close the housing.
8 Commissioning
• Plug alarm switchgear into the socket
• Trigger the mini-float switch
• The acoustic alarm must be audible
• The potential-free contact must be closed (AlarmControl 1 only)
• The connected consumer is switched off (AlarmControl 2 only)
NOTE: The AlarmControl 2 socket cut-out is 1 pole. To guarantee complete iso-
lation from the mains, pull the plug of the connected consumer out of the
socket.
9 Maintenance
Maintenance and repair work must only be carried out by professionally
qualified personnel.
WARNING! Danger of electric shock
Potential dangers from electrical currents must be eliminated.
• During all maintenance and repair work, the pump must be disconnected
from the power supply and secured against possible unauthorised reconnec-
tion.
To guarantee reliability in operation, we recommend a function test once a year.
To check the storage battery operation, pull the alarm switchgear out of the
socket and operate the float switch. If no acoustic signal is generated, change
the storage battery.
