Using the Compact 5 HD in the closed or open position

The Compact 5 HD can be used in two ways: in the closed and in the open
position.
In the closed position, hold the unit in your hand and point the camera (located
at the back of the unit) to the object or text you wish to view or read.
The closed position is ideal for distance viewing and to quickly scan and view
objects or documents.
In the open position, the screen will be set in an ergonomic angle for reading
and the camera will point downwards. The open position enables you to read
longer texts, thanks to the integrated reading stand.
To open the unit, follow these steps:
1. Attach the supplied wrist strap to the unit by connecting the two parts
of the click mechanism. To use the Compact 5 HD in the open
position, place the wrist strap around your right wrist and set the unit
on a flat surface, such as a desk.
