7 Press the MIN/MAX button to record and read the MAX, MIN or AVG values
(the RECORD symbol is displayed).
8 After taking the required measurements, exit RECORD mode by pressing the MIN/MAX
button for 2 seconds.
ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT
Measurement of input current (requires lead n°
214).
1 Press the ON/OFF button to switch on the clamp.
2 Connect the electrical equipment to a type 214
adaptor providing all data on a single cable.
3 Clamp around a conductor.
4 Read the TRMS current value on the display as
also its variations.
5 Press the Hz button to measure frequency.
6 Press the HOLD button to freeze the values on
the display.
Determination of the crest factor of the signal
(Models F2N and F3N).
7 Press the PEAK/SMOOTH button twice to mea-
sure the crest value of the current over each half
cycle (the PEAK symbol is displayed). The Ratio
of the Crest Value of the Current over the RMS
Value of the Current gives the Crest Factor. A
crest factor above 1.4 (Ö2) reveals current
harmonics.
Recording signal variation (Model F3N).
8 Press the MIN/MAX button to record and to
read the MAX, MIN and AVG value (the RECORD
symbol is displayed).
9 Having made the different required readings, exit
RECORD mode by pressing the MIN/MAX
button for 2 seconds.
