: Push the deflector (3) onto the drive
tube (4) so that the bead (a) fits in
the notch (b) on the deflector.
: Continue pushing the deflector (3)
onto the drive tube until the lock
screw (5) engages.
: Tighten down the clamp screw (6)
firmly.

Preparations
: Lay your trimmer on its back with
the loop handle and shroud facing
down and the output shaft facing up.

Thrust Plate
The thrust plate comes with the PolyCut
5-3 and is required for this mowing head
only.
STIHL AutoCut 11-2
: If the thrust plate (1) is fitted, pull it
off the shaft (2).
STIHL PolyCut 5-3
: Fit the thrust plate (1) over the shaft
(2) and engage the hex recess (3)
on the external hexagon (4).
