Special safety instructions

Do not use for cutting posts, logs or metal.
Never stop the saw blade by pressing against
the saw, or by applying pressure to the side
of the saw blade.
Never use saw blades made of high-speed
steel.
Never use grinding or cutting discs.
Always use the correct type of saw blade for
the job at hand.
Never use saw blades whose maximum
speed is less than the tool's maximum RPM.
Never use bent saw blades or saw blades that
have teeth missing.

Never use saw blades that are too big.
Never use a saw blade thicker than the
cleaving blade.
Always wear protective gloves when
handling the blade. Never place your hand
in the vicinity of the saw blade and never
attempt to remove materials from the work
area whilst the saw blade is spinning.
Use a push stick or block to push the item
towards the blade. Never use the guards to
carry or lift the saw.
Always keep the spindle and flanges used for
assembling the saw blades clean.
Never allow the blade to be in contact with
the item to be cut, or other objects, when
starting the saw.
Check that there are no nails, screws or other
objects that could damage the blade in the
item to be cut, and that there are no similar
obstructions in the surface beneath the item.
Please ensure that the saw blade is at a
complete standstill before placing your hand
anywhere in the vicinity of the blade.
As a cross-cut/mitre saw
Never lock the blade guard in its open
position except when changing blades as
described below or when cutting out slots.
Check that the guard can be moved freely
and that the closure mechanism works
correctly before use. Do not use the saw if
this is not the case.
