TROUBLESHOOTING – MOTOR
DISCONNECT power cord before removing motor cover for service. Electrical service
should be performed by trained personnel only.
PROBLEM
Pump does not respond to
water meter signal
Pump will not run with
prime switch depressed
Pump is not working in
automatic or prime mode
Pump is not working and
there is an audible alert

HAZARDOUS VOLTAGE:
POSSIBLE CAUSE
Failed reed switch on water meter
Poor connection between pump
and water meter
Prime switch was depressed
continuously for more than a minute
Worn motor brushes
Failed DC motor
Over temperature or over current
Locked rotor

SOLUTION
Disconnect signal wire and briefly touch the
two leads from the pump together. The pump
should run. If it runs, check the meter, the
connection, and the reed switch. If the pump
doesn't run, contact factory.
Release prime switch to return pump to
automatic mode or depress prime switch
again to continue priming
Replace DC gear motor
The pump incorporates overcurrent and
overtemperature protection that will
automatically reset. Allow pump to cool and
try re-starting the pump.
Examine roller assembly to ensure that it is
not locked up.If roller assembly is free,
replace DC gear motor.
