AFTER THE FIRST 300 HRS OR EVERY YEAR
·Change grease in reducing gear housing.
Check and adjust the valve clearance.
Clean the cylinder head.
Change the lubrication oil (use class GL5 or high-
er grade oil).
TRANSPORTATION
• Transport the trowel by vehicle or lift crane
after securely fasten with rope or chain on the
motor vehicle.
• Make sure to hold the transportation grip (or
lifting lug) properly when lifting the trowel.
Holding the handle for transportation may
cause an injury.
CAUTIONS
- Do not transport the trowel with fuel in its tank
by the motor vehicle.
- NEVER lift the trowel by a person especially
when to put it on and off from the transporting
vehicle; it may cause injury on person's back.
- To avoid burns or fire hazards, let the engine cool
down before transporting it or indoor storage.
- Turn the fuel valve to "off" position and keep the
engine level to prevent the fuel from spilling.
STORAGE
In case of storing the trowel for a long period of
time (for more than 30 days):
• Clean the substances such as soil, cement or
asphalt and dirt from the trowel and the engine.
• Clean the engine cylinder cooling fins.
• Clean or replace the air filter.
• Change the engine oil and follow the proce-
dures described in engine manual for engine
storage.
• Store the trowel and engine in a clean, dry area.
• Remove the fuel from the fuel tank.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Trowel does not develop its full speed.
(Poor performance)
Engine throttle control does not completely
open. Open the engine throttle control com-
pletely.
Throttle control does not adjusted correctly. Ad-
just the throttle control correctly.
The ground is too wet for finishing. Dry the soil
before operation.

Drive belt is loosened up or warn out, slip-
ping on pulleys. Adjust/replace the belt. Or check
whether the engine mounting bolts are tightened.
Warm gear binding. Check grease and wear of
gear. Add /change grease.
Automatic clutch/ pulley are loosened up. Check
status of contact. Add lubricant or replace the
clutch.
Air filter clogged with dust, reducing engine
performance. Clean/replace the air filter.
Engine speed is too low. Check engine speed
with tachometer. Adjust/repair engine to run at
correct speed.
NOTE: Refer to engine manual.
Engine running, but no rotation of blade.
Engine throttle is not opened. Drive belt is loos-
ened or broken. Adjust/replace it.
Clutch damage. Inspect / replace clutch.
Engine speed is too low. Check engine speed.
Too much oil in exciter. Adjust the oil level in ex-
citer correctly.
Trowel jumps or works unevenly.
Ground surface is too hard.
V-belt is loosened or worn out. Adjust/replace
the V-belt.
