Safety advice
When designing equipment, in addition to the attention paid to the
quality and production standards of the product, safety is also an im-
portant factor to take into account. However safety is also the res-
ponsibility of the user. A list of important information to help you
enjoy your equipment safely is listed below. Please read it carefully
before operating the unit.
· Do not overload the power points or extensions beyond their capacity, as
this could cause an electric shock.
· Do not use unprotected power points. This can be dangerous.
· Check the connections regularly. If there is any fault in the insulation of
the power cable of the unit, disconnect it immediately and have a qualified
technician check the unit.
· Do not use the power cable in places near water or liquids, such as baths,
sinks, swimming pools, washing machines or in damp cellars.
· Do not put the unit on an unstable object. It could fall, causing serious da-
mage to the unit or injury.
· Do not place the unit near or on top of heat sources such as heaters, elec-
tric fires, radiators, amplifiers etc. and do not expose the unit to direct sun-
light, as it could overheat.
· Unplug the unit from the power point before cleaning it. Do not use li-
quids, alcohol or cleaning sprays. Use a soft dry cloth to clean the outside
of the unit.
· Never place heavy objects on top of the unit.
· Never remove the safety elements from the plug. If the plug supplied
does not fit the power point consult an electrician or change your power
point. Never force the plug.
· Protect the power cable so it is not trodden on or pressed, particularly at
the end near the plug and at the end where the cable is connected to the
device.
· Unplug the device during electrical storms or when it will not be used for
