2. Setting the transmitter power
Exciter power
To insure the best working conditions and efficiency, the exciter power must be set between 22 W and 28
W for the 3 kW or 4 kW transmitter.
If the power is greater than 32 W, a protection is automatically triggered shutting down power.
!
Setting the ECRESO FM power to more than 40 W can destroy the amplifiers of a 3 kW or 3.5 kW
transmitter.
When the power is below 28 W again, the protection is automatically disabled.
If the power is below 20 W, an alarm indicates the power is too low; the output power can no longer be
maintained by the internal controller.
If the power is below 16 W, it is automatically shut off to protect the amplifier.
To connect the transmitter, see section 2.
1. Connect the ECRESO FM Coupler output to a 50 load with a wattmeter.
The 50 charge power must be greater than 3500 W for a 3 kW transmitter and greater than 4500 W for
a 4 kW transmitter.
When you acquired your ECRESO FM 100 W, the RF amplifier is deactivated and power is set to 0 W.
2. Press the Local button on the front panel, then the RF button.
