5 Functional description

The M-Drive is adapted electronically and mechanically to the master feeder system. All required valves and
connections have been installed in the housing.

6 Putting into operation

Risk of injury due to unexpected start-up
The following instructions must be adhered to for the entire duration of maintenance, servicing,
disassembly and repair work:
• Switch off the power source.
• Close the compressed air supply.
• Close the gas supply.
• Disconnect the mains plug.
Risk of injury
Safety switches on covers and protective devices are ineffective in manual mode.
• Greater concentration.
Risk of crushing
Limbs can be drawn in and crushed.
• Do not reach into moving wheels.

The add-on consoles are not included in the scope of delivery and must be attached at the place of
installation. The appropriate mounting holes can be found in:
 Fig. 1 on page EN-6

• Ensure clear access to the control elements and connections.
• Select a location that allows a short and rectilinear wire feed.
• Protect the components against rain and direct sunlight.
• Prevent dust and other foreign substances from entering the system's cooling air stream.
• Only use the device in dry, clean and well-ventilated rooms.
