▷ Wait until the software prompts you to insert
the articulator.
Only then is it ensured that the axis movements
are minimal during the following scanning proc-
ess.
6.3.1
Positioning articulators
The scanner's base plate is moved into the hori-
zontal position and additionally rotated.
The anti-slip mat has 2 lines to aid the positioning
of articulators.

NOTE:
Possibility of insufficient scanning results and
damage to the articulator!
If the articulator is positioned incorrectly in the
scanner, it can be moved or fall out of the unit
during the scanning process.
▷ Align the articulator in such a manner that the
front part of the articulator (left of line [1]) is
inside the base plate and does not protrude
beyond the edge of the base plate. The rear
parts of the articulator (right of line [1]) may
protrude beyond the edge of the base plate.
▷ Align the longitudinal axis of the articulator on
line [2]. In this, the incisal pin [3] must point to
the left in the direction of the sensor optics.
▷ Align rear side of model holder in articulator
along line [1].
The feet of the articulator should not be
placed directly on the line [1], but usually
to the right of the line. They must still be
positioned on the anti-slip mat.
▷ When the articulator is correctly aligned: Start
the scan procedure.
When scanning is complete:
▷ Remove articulator from scanner with both
hands.
▷ Follow the next steps in the software.
