Operations during playback

Track switching (8, 9)

Rotate the jog dial during playback, cue, or while stopped.
• Rotate in the clockwise direction to switch to the next track.
• Rotate in the counterclockwise direction to switch to the start of
the current track or previous tracks.

Reserving the next track to play back

(Next Track Reserve)

When the "Next Trk Reserve" setting is on, the next track to be
played back can be reserved.
Rotate the jog dial during playback.
• The track number display flashes, and the next track to be played
back can be selected.

button to cancel the playback reservation.

Fast forward and fast rewind (Search)

• Press 6 for fast rewind playback.
• Press 7 for fast forward playback.
• The operation switches as shown below depending on how many
times the button is pressed.

• Sound is not output at speeds above 2x.
• When fast forward search is used to the end of the last file, or when
fast rewind search is used to the start of the first file, the file pauses.
NOTE
• Search cannot be performed on files that are recorded using VBR.
• If a VBR file is found during the search process, the search ends at
the VBR file.
• No operations including search can be performed for 0.2 seconds
from the start of Hot Start playback.
