The test for electromagnetic compatibility (interference
emission test) was performed at the rated voltage and rated
current.
Special accessories - The factory settings can be changed
and special functions can be activated, deactivated and set
using the infrared remote control (Prod. no. 36 407). The
current Technical Product Information for the remote control
can be downloaded from
www.grohe.com/tpi/remote-control.
Installation

Flush pipes thoroughly before and after
installation (observe EN 806)!
Check connections for leaks and check function of
fitting.
Prevention of frost damage
When the domestic water system is drained, thermostats must be
drained separately, since non-return valves are installed in the hot
and cold water connections.
The complete thermostat assemblies and non-return valves must
be unscrewed and removed.
Adjustment
Before and after any maintenance operation on the
thermostatic compact cartridge the thermostat must be
adjusted.

National standards must be observed.
1. Switch off fitting with App or remote control (Submenu
Service), see Fig. [1].
2. Unlock thermostat function with enclosed key,
see Fig. [2] - [4].
3. Start thermal disinfection with App or remote control
(Submenu Configuration), see Fig. [5].
4. Leave shower area.

During the thermal disinfection do not go

in the shower area.

The fitting starts the thermal disinfection.
If an object is in the detection zone, then the thermal
disinfection will be interrupted and the fitting is locked. The
thermal disinfection must be started again.
After the thermal disinfection the fitting is locked.
5. Restore thermostat function with enclosed key,
see Fig. [6] - [8].
Caution, risk of scalding.
Necessarily restore thermostat function
to obtain pre-set temperature.
6. After 15 minutes the fitting can be unlocked, see Fig. [9].

*A: Cleaning mode: The water flow can be temporarily
locked.
*B: Interval of automatic flushing, usage-independent.
*C: Interval of automatic flushing, usage-dependent.

Maintenance

• Shut off hot and cold water supply.
• Disconnect voltage supply.
• Inspect and clean all parts, replace if necessary and
lubricate with special grease.
Thermostatic compact cartridge
Readjustment is necessary after each maintenance
operation on the thermostatic compact cartridge (see
Adjustment).
In order to ensure long-term protection from scalding, at
least once a year must be checked that the pre-adjusted
outlet temperature is not exceeded.
