5 - Fit Your Reflux Band
Sit still and look forward.
•

Press the blue button of the External Manometer. The Display will read "OP" for a few seconds before you see
the pressure reading.
•
Clinical studies show that pressure of 20 millimeters mercury (mmHg) is enough pressure to decrease or stop
reflux from entering your throat and lungs, so the recommended range is between 20-30 mmHg.
•
Fit the Reflux Band by evenly adjusting the Velcro tabs on both sides of the Comfort Band.
•
You can make minor comfort adjustments to the pressure setting by using the Comfort Dial. A clockwise turn
of the dial increases pressure and a counterclockwise turn decreases pressure.
•
The number on the Display will fluctuate as you move and breathe. That's completely normal. Ensure that the
pressure is set at or over 20, and that you are comfortable.
Remove the Pressure Sensor.
•
6 – Your Reflux Band is Now Fit For You!
•
Once you have fit the Reflux Band, practice taking it on and off a few times until you feel comfortable with the
positioning of the Reflux Band and how to use the Clasp.
•
As with any new device, it may take a few days to get used to wearing the Reflux Band.
•
When worn consistently each night, users typically report symptom improvement within two weeks.

Reflux Band Optional Accessories
COMFORT BAND-LONG
Comfort Band – Long: Optional item for those with shirt collar size 18-22".
•
Remove the standard Comfort Band from the Frame on both sides, leaving the clasp and frame connected.
•
Remove the Comfort Band-Long from the packaging.
•
Insert each end of the Comfort Band-Long into the Frame so that the exposed Velcro tab connects to the
exterior of the Comfort Band-Long, as it had been with the standard Comfort Band.
•
To ensure the device is properly assembled, confirm that the Clasp magnet properly connects to the magnet
