2 – Position Your Reflux Band
• To maximize the comfort and effectiveness, it's important to wear your Reflux Band in the correct position.
• The Cushion should sit directly over your cricoid cartilage.
•
To identify your cricoid cartilage, tilt your neck back and feel for your Adam's apple. Right below the Adam's
apple is another firm bump, the cricoid cartilage. The Cushion should sit directly over this.
•
If you are having difficulty positioning your Reflux Band, see pictures for the location guidance or call Customer
Care 844-361-4858.
3 – Put on Your Reflux Band
•
Position the Reflux Band with the Cushion placed on the cricoid area of your neck.
•
The Clasp should be on your right hand side, with the RB logo right side up.
•
Connect the Clasp to the Frame. It should click in place when you feel the magnets find one another.
•
Evenly adjust the Velcro
•
When you tighten the Comfort Band the pressure will go up. When you loosen the Comfort Band the pressure
will go down.
TIP: Take Reflux Band on and off with the Clasp (not Velcro).
4 – Place the Pressure Sensor
•
Unclasp the Reflux Band and let it rest on your neck.
•
Place the blue Pressure Sensor balloon over your cricoid area. The Pressure Sensor will rest between your
neck and the Cushion of the Reflux Band.
•
Place the Reflux Band so the Cushion is directly on the blue Pressure Sensor balloon, which is over the
cricoid area. Re-clasp the Reflux Band.
•
It's helpful to have the External Manometer rest on the table while you use the mirror to ensure proper
positioning.
