Operating conditions
The SVP range of baths is designed for professional sous-vide cooking using water. The symbols below are used to indicate:
Important safety warning.
Caution: Surfaces and water can be hot during and after use.
Read this manual before using the bath.
Please read the following instructions, as safety or product reliability may be impaired if they are not followed.
Only connect to the voltage and frequency shown on the serial number plate
Connect only to a power supply which provides a safety earth (ground) terminal
Place the bath on a level non-combustible surface
Ensure the bath is positioned so the plug is easily accessible for disconnection
Do not use the bath to heat any material that could cause a fire or other hazard
Always place circulation tray in bottom of bath to help an even distribution of temperature and to avoid premature heater
failure
Using water only, fill bath to desired level before switching on
The use of the lid is recommended at temperatures over 60
Setting the working temperature
1.
To set the temperature press the control knob on the control panel, the display will now flash
with the current set temperature

Rotate the control knob to select the required temperature set-point
3.
Press the control knob again to confirm
If the set-point isn‟t confirmed within a few seconds the unit will revert to the previous set-point
During heating or cooling to the set-point temperature, the last display digit shows a rising or fal-
ling bar pattern until the temperature is within 1
Setting single point temperature correction
This feature allows the user to adjust the control temperature by +/- 5
the water temperature is measured using a calibrated thermometer before any adjustments are made.

Press the control knob and hold for 8 seconds, „CAL‟ will be displayed. Press again and the dis-
play will flash showing the current correction value

Rotate the control knob to select the required correction value. For instance, if the thermometer

measures 2
C above the control temperature, set the value to +2
3.
Press to confirm, the display will revert to showing the correct temperature reading
If the correction value isn‟t confirmed within a few seconds the unit will revert to the previous value. To
cancel the single point calibration, set the value to 0 in step 2 of the instructions above.
