Pull the lap belt down as far as possible, so that the lap
area of your child is protected. If the lap belt runs
across your child's stomach, there is a risk of internal
injuries in the event of an accident.
[MINI_I-SIZE_021] Always ensure that the AIRPADS
are positioned correctly in the inner pockets of the
adjustable inner padding. Failure to observe this notice
may seriously risk your child's safety in the event of
an accident.
[MINI_I-SIZE_038] Check that the top of your child's
head is lower than the top edge of the headrest. If the
headrest is too low, there is a greater risk of injury in
the case of an accident.
As soon as the top of your child's head reaches or
exceeds the top edge of the seat, you should switch to
the TAKATA MIDI I-SIZE child car seat with the
TAKATA I-SIZE BASE.
[MINI_I-SIZE_008] Pull the vehicle seatbelt tightly
around the TAKATA MINI I-SIZE. If the seatbelt is
too loose, your child's safety is at risk in the event of
an accident (only applies if the MINI I-SIZE is
secured according to Regulation UNECE-R44 via the
vehicle's 3-point-belt on the vehicle seat).
[MINI_I-SIZE_009] Secure your TAKATA MINI
I-SIZE in place whenever it is in the vehicle, regardless
of whether a child is using it. This prevents the seat

[MINI_I-SIZE_010] Take care not to damage the
vehicle's seatbelts, or the straps of the TAKATA MINI
I-SIZE, with knives or other sharp objects. The TAKATA
MINI I-SIZE cannot properly protect children from
injury if the straps have been cut or in some way
damaged.
