Tool registration for the vacuum
cleaner
NOTE: A Makita v a c uum c leaner supporting t h e
w ireless a c ti v ation f un c tion is re q uire d f or t h e tool
registration.
NOTE: F inis h installing t h e w ireless unit to t h e tool
be f ore starting t h e tool registration.
NOTE: D uring t h e tool registration, d o not pull t h e
s w it c h trigger or turn on t h e po w er s w it c h on t h e
v a c uum c leaner.

If you wish to activate the vacuum cleaner along with
the switch operation of the tool, finish the tool registra-
tion be f ore h an d .
1. I nstall t h e batteries to t h e v a c uum c leaner an d t h e
tool.
Set the stand-by switch on the vacuum cleaner to

lamp blinks in green. A n d t h en press t h e w ireless a c ti-
vation button on the tool in the same way.

I f t h e v a c uum c leaner an d t h e tool are linke d su c c ess-
fully, the wireless activation lamps will light up in green
f or 2 se c on d s an d start blinking in blue.
NOTE: The wireless activation lamps finish blinking
in green a f ter 20 se c on d s elapse d . P ress t h e w ireless
a c ti v ation button on t h e tool w h ile t h e w ireless a c ti-
v ation lamp on t h e c leaner is blinking. I f t h e w ireless
a c ti v ation lamp d oes not blink in green, pus h t h e w ire-
less activation button briefly and hold it down again.
NOTE: When performing two or more tool registra-
tions for one vacuum cleaner, finish the tool registra-
tion one by one.
Starting the wireless activation
function
NOTE: F inis h t h e tool registration f or t h e v a c uum
c leaner prior to t h e w ireless a c ti v ation.
NOTE: R e f er to t h e instru c tion manual o f t h e v a c uum
c leaner, too.
A f ter registering a tool to t h e v a c uum c leaner, t h e
vacuum cleaner will automatically runs along with the
s w it c h operation o f t h e tool.

T o stop t h e w ireless a c ti v ation o f t h e v a c uum c leaner,
pus h t h e w ireless a c ti v ation button on t h e tool.
NOTE: T h e w ireless a c ti v ation lamp on t h e tool w ill
stop blinking in blue w h en t h ere is no operation f or
hours. In this case, set the stand-by switch on the
v a c uum c leaner to " A U T O " an d pus h t h e w ireless
a c ti v ation button on t h e tool again.
NOTE: The vacuum cleaner starts/stops with a delay.
T h ere is a time lag w h en t h e v a c uum c leaner d ete c ts
a s w it c h operation o f t h e tool.
NOTE: T h e transmission d istan c e o f t h e w ireless unit
may vary depending on the location and surrounding
c ir c umstan c es.
NOTE: When two or more tools are registered to one
vacuum cleaner, the vacuum cleaner may start run-
ning even if you don t pull the switch trigger because
anot h er user is using t h e w ireless a c ti v ation f un c tion.
