Installing the bathtub (cont'd)
STEP
If needed use wood shims between the studs and
the fastening flange to maintain centered position of
bathtub.
DO NOT USE SHIMS UNDER THE BATHTUB TO
LEVEL!
DOING SO WILL VOID THE MAAX WARRANTY!
With a 1/8" bit, drill holes in the bathtub fastening
flange then secure the bathtub to all the wall studs with
#8 x 1¾ " screws (not included). Only pre-drill the
flange not the studs.
HOLES MUST BE FILLED WITH SILICONE BEFORE
SCREWING
HAND TIGHTEN ONLY !

Tiling flange
The bathtub must never be sup-
ported by the wood slats under-
neath the tiling flange, but by the
wood stud and the floor, use wood
shingles if necessary. The tiling flange
is not designed to carry the weight of
the bathtub.
