access point mode does not assign Ip addresses dynamically with dHcp. If you do not have an
existing network and wish to put the dIR-516 in Router mode, you must first connect to the dIR-516
wirelessly and assign a static Ip address. this can be done using your computer's operating system.
once you have a static Ip address assigned, open a web browser and enter 192.168.0.50 into
the address bar. leave the username as admin and leave the password blank. navigate to
Wireless Settings and deselect Enable Access Point Mode. the dIR-516 will reboot. now, enter
192.168.0.1 into the browser's address bar to access the web-based configuration in Router mode.

Step 3:
to configure the dIR-516, open a web browser on your computer
and enter 192.168.0.50 into the address bar. leave the username as
admin and leave the password blank.
Step 4:
use your computer's wireless adapter or smartphone to establish
a wireless connection to the dIR-516. the default wireless network
name (ssId) is D-Link_DIR-516 and leave the password/key blank.
