Chapter 4: Operating Instructions

an adjunct in patient assessment.

Unpacking the Pulse Oximeter

1. Carefully remove the pulse oximeter and its
accessories (see Ch. 7) from the shipping
carton. Save the packing and shipping
materials in case the monitor must be shipped
or stored.
2. Compare the packing list with the supplies and
equipment you received to make sure you have
everything you'll need.
