Always load nails into the tool's magazine
W RNING
before the air supply is connected.
Connecting the air supply after loading nails reduces the risk
of unintentionally driving a nail and injuring yourself or
someone else.
1. Depress the magazine latch and open the magazine,
figure 5.
2. Set the nail supporting tray height, figure 6. For nails
shorter than 1-1/4", lift and turn the nail supporting tray
clockwise. The nails will not feed smoothly if the nail
supporting tray is not adjusted to the correct position.
3. Place the nail coil over the nail supporting tray. Uncoil
enough nails to reach the drive channel. Insert the first
nail into the drive channel and the second nail in the feed
claw. Fit the nail heads in the guide slot. Figure 7.
Do not deform wire collation or
W RNING
disengage the nails with the guide
surface. Misformed collation or incorrect loading of the nails
will prevent the magazine door from closing properly, which
may cause the tool to malfunction or react in an unexpected
manner.
Use only the nails meeting the criteria
W RNING
listed in the "Specification" section of this
manual. Nails not identified for use with this tool can cause
the tool to malfunction and result in the risk of injury and/or
tool damage.
Watch for pinch points with the magazine
W RNING
door. Never place any part of your body
in a pinch point area. When loading nails consider where
your hand is located. If it is within a pinch point, strongly
consider an alternative position. Injuries occur when hands
or fingers are between moving and stationary parts during
the pinching movement.
