Assemble the Wheel
NOTE: Refer to Figure 2 when following the steps below
1. Place the unit on a level surface.
2. Assemble wheels using Spacer and Shoulder Bolt.
3. Tighten securely to 25 ft. lbs. (34 N.m) torque.
Assemble the Flexible Shield
NOTE: Refer to Figure 4 when following the steps below
1. Align rear hole of flexible shield with threaded stud at the
base of the deflector shroud.
2. Assemble with flange nut.
WARNING
Do not operate trimmer unless all shields are fully installed.
Assemble the Pivot Handle
1. Cut the black cable tie securing the handle . (Figure 5)
2. Remove the screw and nut from the Index plate.
3. Rotate the Index plate until the bolt hole aligns with the
lower handle hole. (Figure 6 ) Insert screw and nut and
tighten both upper and lower attachment screws securely.
4. Remove the Pivot Screw, Spring and Nut from the lower
end of the Pivot Handle.
5. Position the Pivot Handle so the pivot hole aligns with the
forward hole of the Index plate. (Figure 6 )
6. Install the Pivot screw and spring from the inside. Install
the Locknut from the outside. (Figure 7) Tighten the nut
only until you see one or two threads extending through
the nut. (Figure 8)
Final Assembly
1. Assemble the clear Trimmer Line Storage tube to the
retaining clips on the left side handle.
2. Reinstall spark plug wire.
