6.1.2 i-TTL-BL flash mode
These digital TTL flash modes are only suppor-
ted by cameras in Group C when lenses are
used which relay range information to the
camera (e.g. D AF Nikkor lenses). The camera
also takes this information into account when
applying flash output for the shot.
Configuration procedure
• Switch on the flash unit by pressing the
button
• Press the "TTL" button on the flash unit
M
SL
to configure the TTL mode.
• Set a corresponding operating mode
TTL
on the camera e.g. P, S, A.
• Lightly depress the camera shutter to
allow the data transfer between
camera and flash unit.
If the camera supports i-TTL-BL flash
mode, this will be carried out by the
flash unit.
There is no special display for i-TTL
flash mode.
Some cameras do not support the BL function
for SPOT metering.
This flash mode will be deleted automatically
or not activated, leaving standard i-TTL mode
