1.) Standards
2.) General information
Read and understand these instructions prior to use of your product.
Lanyards made of loops must not be used as attachment points or
fastening devices for fall arrest purposes without the use of a Shock
absorbing element, e.g. using an energy-absorbing lanyard as per
EN355. The product must only be used by one person at a time. For
the max. permissible arrest force, please refer to the manuals of the
attached devices. Only for use with personal fall arrest equipment,
not for lifting gear. The service life depends on the frequency of use
and the ambient conditions. For ease of control, the loops should be
marked with the dates of next revision. (Do NOT mark the straps!) In
case that a fall indicator is used, it must be checked prior to use. It
must not indicate any signs of unusual loads. The product must not be
lengthened.
ATTENTION: In wet/icy weather, if used over edges and if used with
cow hitch knot (2.6) the failure load is significantly reduced. Slack
rope should be prevented.
2.1) O-shaped loop
2.2) If the risk assessment performed prior to beginning of the work
reveals that load above an edge is possible in case of fall,
appropriate precautionary measures must be taken.
2.3) Pay attention to loose strap ends/do not use for tying/always
close carabiners properly
2.4) If used with cow hitch knots, make sure that the loop strap is
correctly positioned
2.5) Do not knot fastener
3.) Lanyards
If additional lanyards are used, also read the user instruction for
lanyards MAT-BA-WU-0144.
3.1a+b) The length should not be adjusted and slacking the rope or
