Make sure that the machine is switched off (operating switch on „0").
•
Before inserting the mains lead into the socket, check whether the voltage
you intend to use complies with that of the machine.
For details see the machine label.
•
Only connect the machine to a properly installed safety socket, 230 V/50 Hz.
1. Pull the lid of the water tank forwards. Fill the machine to the number of cups
required with cold water.
2. Swing the fi lter out to the right. Fill the permanent fi lter with coffee powder.
Then close the fi lter holder until it locks in place.
3. Place the pot on the hot plate and close the lid of the water tank.
4. Turn the switch to position „1". The coffee will begin to percolate. After
percolation you may remove the pot.
5. If you would like to keep the remaining coffee warm, the switch must remain
in position „1". The hotplate will keep the coffee warm until the switch is
moved to the „0" position. The machine is then switched off.
It becomes necessary to decalcify the machine when percolation takes conside-
rably longer. Use only commercially available citrus acid-based de-scaler. Follow
the recommended instructions for use.
•
Before cleaning the machine you should always remove the mains lead and
wait until the machine has cooled down.
•
Clean the outside of the appliance, if necessary, with a slightly moist cloth
without any detergent.
•
The coffee pot, permanent fi lter and fi lter insert are cleaned in the usual man-
ner in soapy water.
