Fit 1200 mm tube
☞ Place the long tube [1] on the second nozzle
of the cover [2] and press it into the clamps of
the articulated arm. Guide the tube upwards so
that condensate flows back into the nebuliser
chamber.
Secure the cover of the nebuliser chamber with the
retainer.
6.4.2
Nebulisation with commercially available
disposable sterile water systems
☞ Fill the nebuliser chamber (2) with distilled
water until the sterile water system [2] (e.g.
Hudson RCI) is wetted up to mark for the contact
water (hatched area [1]). The distilled water in
the nebuliser chamber serves to transfer the
vibrations to the sterile water system.
42
☞ Prepare the sterile water system in accordance
with the corresponding user manual and insert it
in the nebuliser chamber in place of the cover.
☞ Connect the tubes and secure the sterile water
system with the retainer.
☞ Change the contact water after each use, although
at least 1x per day.
NOTE:
Sterile water capsules are available e.g. in pharmacies
or in medical supply stores.
Ensure that the nebuliser chamber and the sterile
water system have a sufficient liquid level.
If this is not the case, the sterile water capsule
may be damaged (loss of sterility) or the nebuliser
chamber may be damaged. Always secure sterile
water capsules with the retainer (25).
D WARNING!
Danger of injury!
When the sterile water capsule is empty, the water in
the nebuliser chamber can heat up to over 70°C.
