6.1

Preparation

Place the device upright on a level, firm surface. The
correct function of the overflow protection is only
guaranteed if the device is in vertical position. If
placed on a soft surface (e.g. pillow, mattress) there
is a risk that the ventilation slots will be covered and
the device will overheat.
6.2

Establishing the power supply

D WARNING!
Danger of electric shock!
Connecting devices to additional sockets can lead
to an increase in leakage current. If the protective
conductor of one of these devices fails, the leakage
current may exceed the permissible values. Only
establish connections with the approval of the
respective device manufacturer. Have servicing
personnel check the leakage current. If the
permissible value is exceeded, do not use the
additional sockets, but separate mains sockets on the
wall.
D ATTENTION!
Device out of order!
Before initial commissioning, the device voltage
must be set to the available mains voltage using the
voltage switch on the back of the device. 230V is pre-
set.

Selecting mains voltage
☞ Carefully unlock and remove the fuse link (A) at
the device socket with a screwdriver.
☞ Remove the voltage switch (B) from the fuse link
and select the desired mains voltage by turning it.
Replace the fuse link by pressing it until it audibly
clicks back into place.
− The required mains voltage (110 V/ 127 V/ 230 V)
is now visible in the window (C).
NOTE:
Observe type plate on the underside of the device.
☞ Insert the plug of the mains cable (D) in the
device socket and in a mains socket with earthing
contact.
