Safety Notes

Intended Use
Light
The light type 40871000 is only suited for use in interior
rooms, baths and showers in zones type 1 and 2 as
well as outside as per DIN VDE 0100 part 701 / IEC
60364-7-701 and must only be powered with SELV 12
V DC.
transformer
The voltage supply from the 12 V DC SELV must only be
fed via the included transformer type 19769610. The
transformer must be installed outside the zones 0, 1 and
2 in a socket in the wall - safe from outside contact.
The mains voltage of 100 - 240 V AC 50 - 60 Hz must
be supplied via a shutoff device (switch) as well as
a ground fault protector (RCD / FI) with a measured
differential current of ≤ 30 mA.
The transformer type 19769610 is only suited for the

English
voltage supply of the light type 40871000.
A different or excessive use is considered non-intended.
The user/operator bears the sole risk. The intended use

Electrical installation

Electrician
The installation and test work must be performed by an
authorized electrician under consideration of DIN VDE
0100 part 701 / IEC 60364-7-701.
Electrical connection
Voltage supply: 100 – 240 V / N /PE / 50 – 60 Hz
Residual current protection system
The circuit must be protected via a ground fault protector
(RCD / FI) with a measured differential current of ≤ 30
mA.
The proper function of this fusing/protection must be
checked at regular intervals.

Installation Instructions

Any work may only be carried out in a de-energized
state. Here, the voltage supply must be safely separated
via the main switch or mains plugs.
Consistency of installation surface
Please also make sure that the installation surface
is even. If there are deep ridges or offset tiles, it is
necessary to even out this unevenness using silicone.
First, the basic set order no. 40876180 must be
installed.
Pull the connecting line to light/transformer into the
empty conduit by means of a cable retractor (EN 20).
