For this reason it is always best initially to keep the aircraft
flying away from you or to one side of you, to avoid disori-
entation and incorrect control commands.
Landing
The model can be landed by steadily reducing the throttle
until the model descends smoothly and touches down by
itself. Don't close the throttle abruptly.
When the model is back on the ground, disconnect the
flight battery from the receiver, and only then switch the
transmitter off.
Caution
Remember to pull the throttle stick right back to the idle
end-stop as soon as the model touches down. Stalling the
motor - physically preventing the propeller turning -
can seriously damage the motor and even cause a fire.
Note regarding the flight battery
The maximum flight time is about ten minutes, depending
on the state of charge of the battery.
The speed controller does not feature an automatic low-
voltage cut-off, so the motor will continue to run until the
battery is completely discharged. When the battery volta-
ge is very low, the range of the radio control system is
reduced and you could lose control of the model. We the-
refore recommend that you call a halt to every flight after
six to seven minutes at the latest.
Never run down the battery until it is completely flat, as it
then becomes "deep-discharged", and will be perma-
nently damaged.
If the battery is warm after a flight, allow it to cool down
before recharging it.
Replacing the propeller
If the propeller is damaged, fit a new one immediately: loo-
sen the spinner by hand and unscrew it from the shaft. Hold
the locknut in a small pair of pliers and unscrew the propel-
ler. Screw the replacement propeller onto the shaft and lock
it against the nut. Replace the spinner.
