The PAE85T trimmer leaves the factory perfectly adjusted.
However if it is necessary for any reason to adjust a part,
proceed as follows.
8.2 ADJUSTING TRIMMER ARM PRESSURE
The machine is equipped with a pressure compensation sys-
tem using a mechanical cam that varies depending on the
operating position of the trimmer arm.
The machine leaves the factory with the max. and min. pres-
sure adjusted. However, if the pressure levels do need to be
readjusted for any reason, proceed as follows:
Open cover A by removing screws B to gain access to the
pneumatic components area (Fig. 26).
Loosen nut H and with the help of a Ø 1.5 pin turn piston I
clockwise to reduce maximum pressure or counterclockwise
to increase it.
Loosen lock nut J and turn nut K clockwise to increase mini-
mum pressure, or counterclockwise to reduce it (Fig. 27)
The optimum operating pressure levels are:
MINIMUM PRESSURE 2 Bar
MAXIMUM PRESSURE 4 Bar
Pressure levels must be checked by connecting a pressure
gauge in air battery outlet 7.
8.3 ADJUSTING TRIMMER ARM APPROACH SPEED
To adjust the trimmer arm's speed of approach or retreat,
proceed as follows:
Remove the protective motor cover as explained in section
8.1
To increase the trimmer arm approach speed, adjust control G
by turning it counterclockwise.
To reduce it, turn clockwise.
To increase arm return speed.
Adjust control D by turning it counterclockwise.
To reduce it, turn clockwise (Fig. 28).
8.4 ADJUSTING TRIMMER ADVANCE SPEED
To increase the trimmer unit advance speed, turn control E
counterclockwise. To reduce speed, turn clockwise (Fig. 28).
8.5 FILLING THE HYDRAULIC CIRCUIT
If refilling is necessary due to an oil tube breaking or the
