6.3 TIPS FOR A GOOD FINISH

To obtain a good finish, several useful tips should be taken
into account that can be summarized in three groups:
Boards to work on:
• It is advisable to use good quality, high density boards.
• Cuts must be clean, with no rough edges.
• The boards must be as flat as possible and unwarped.
A tolerance of ± 0.1 mm per metre is recommended.
• Boards must be clean
• The cut must be made at 90º to the board thickness and
length.
Test board:
It is highly recommended to perform a test before beginning
the trimming of an entire manufacturing series. This way, if
the results of the test are unsatisfactory, small corrections
can be made in the settings without possible losses in the
series.
