m) This device is not tested to work in explosive
atmospheres.
n) Avoid descending into electrical, chemical, or thermal
hazards. Do not use equipment around moving
machinery.
o) The descender device should never be left in place
(specifically outdoors), e.g. at a workstation, because of
the weathering deterioration of the rope.

To install the descender on the rope, press the opening
button and simultaneously slide the housing sides apart
(figure 3a). Thread the working line in the slot between
the cam and the becket and lead it around the cam so
that the free end of the rope exits the device between
both jamming elements (figure 3b). Slide the housing
sides back together. The device is only closed properly
once the opening button locks the top housing side and
is fully released (figure 3c). The descender may be
attached by means of an oval locking connector (EN
362 or ANSI Z359.12) either to the harness' ventral and
sternal attachment point (figure 6) or it can be fastened
to an anchor (figure 8a). Wrong insertion is partially
prevented by the shape of the cam (figure 3d). Consult
