2. Installation and maintenance
Dig the device into the ground up to ¾ of the Solar Vole Repeller. Remove the
plastic foil in the transparent part of head of the product before using. To
turn it on, press the button at the bottom of the casing.
PLEASE MAKE ABSOLUTELY SURE THAT THE BATTERY IS FULLY
CHARGED BEFORE USING THE DEVICE FOR THE FIRST TIME. WITH THE
DEVICE TURNED OFF, PLACE IT INTO THE GROUND FOR ABOUT 12
HOURS IN THE SUN BEFORE USE.
Check the function of the device regularly. In case it does not work normally any
more, a replacement of the rechargeable battery might be necessary (see point
3).
Installation suggestion (see drawing):
Place the repeller in such a position that animals will have the possibility to flee
from your land. After about 5-6 weeks the device/s should be moved
approximately 4-5 metres in the direction of the escape route.
ATTENTION: Never stick the device directly into the hill. If you are using
several devices, never install them in the corners of the plot; you then
contain the animals in the middle and block their possible escape routes.
Start repelling the animals directly at the house and work your way toward
the property boundaries. In very dry and hard soil, drill a hole in the ground
and compact the soil around the rod. Look out for underground barriers,
such as pipes, foundations, edges and borders, and concrete slabs! These
