Performing a Control Solution Test

Take a test strip out with clean and dry hands first.

Step1 Insert Test Strip.
Fully insert the test strip, with the contact bars
end first facing up into test slot. The meter will
turn on automatically.
"CHK" and " " will appear first, followed by
►ambient temperature
►code number and flashing " "
Be sure the code number on the screen is the
same as the code number on the test strip vial.
If the code numbers do not match, please see
"Coding the Monitor" section of this manual.
Step2 Press the M button.
After the " " symbol appears on display, press
the M button so that "CTL" appears. With the
"CTL" sign on the display, the meter will not store
your test result in memory. If you decide not to
perform a control solution test, press the M but-
ton again, and the "CTL" sign will disappear.
