6.6.2 BLOODSTOP Feature

The BLOODSTOP feature provides for a timed (2 minute) cycle of increased flow and pressure
to stop bleeding and clear the field of view . Once the cycle is complete, the FMS VUE II will
return to its original settings . The BLOODSTOP feature is activated via the Foot Pedal, Remote
Control, or Handpiece as described in the following sections .
NOTE: Pressing the BLOODSTOP button on the foot pedal or remote control after
BLOODSTOP is activated resets the timed cycle, however, pressing BLOODSTOP on the
handpiece cancels the cycle.
When the BLOODSTOP feature is activated, the pump pressure display is surrounded by
flashing brackets and the BLOODSTOP indicator flashes (Figure 13) .

This section provides operating instructions for accessories used with the FMS pump .

• FMS Remote Hand Control

6.7.1 5-Way Foot Pedal (Ref. 283573)

The FMS 5-Way Foot Pedal (Figure 14) provides foot-operated pressure and handpiece control .
The handpiece can be activated using the foot pedal . Refer to the FMS VUE II 5-Way Foot
Pedal Instructions for Use (109724) for details and cleaning instructions .
