Assembly
Damage to sealing materials caused by impermissible compressed air quality!
Unsuitable compressed air can corrode sealing materials and damage the cylinder valve
unit.
In accordance with ISO 8573-1, only use compressed air that does not attack the system
and its sealing materials (particle size: 50 μm; oil content: 0 mg/m
Only use oils approved by AVENTICS (see "Technical Information" in the online product
catalog).
NOTICE
Proceed as follows:
1. Remove the blanking plugs at the pneumatic connections.
2. Select the appropriate tubing and its fittings for the valve. You
can find the diameter in the product catalog at
www.aventics.com/pneumatics.
3. Attach the pneumatic connections (tubing) to the valve as
follows (see product overview on page 57):
– 1 (P) compressed air supply
– 3 (S) exhaust port (preassembled silencer or restricted
exhaust)
– 5 (R) exhaust port (preassembled silencer or restricted
exhaust)
4. Lay the tubing so that there are no sharp bends at any points.
This prevents interruptions to the medium supply, as well as
leaks.

7.4.3 Connecting the cylinder valve unit electrically

1. Protect the system against being switched on.
2. Join together conductive metal components to equalize
electrical potentials and ground the cylinder valve unit
according to applicable regulations.
3. Observe specific national regulations during the electrical
installation.
