yourself or have them repaired by a
different service provider - this
impairs the quality, safety and
efficacy of the medical device. We
offer to have repairs to medi products
carried out by our specialist staff as
long as the work and the costs are in
reasonable proportion to the
condition of the goods and become
necessary within the useful life (= 6
month wearing period).
• medi stockings are largely resistant to
ointments, skin moisture and other
environ mental factors. However,
certain combina tions may reduce
their durability.
• You can obtain a perforated elastic
waistband from your medical retailer
on request.
If necessary, please thread it through
the cuff and adjust to fit your waist.
Application instructions
for open-toed compression stockings
and the Easy-On Slipper
• Ideally you should put on your
mediven compression stocking first
thing in the morning, immediately
after getting up.
• Place your foot in the medi "Easy-On
slipper" supplied.
• Gather up the leg section and slip the
stocking over the „Easy-On slipper"
and up the leg, smoothing it up
evenly. Make sure that the stocking is
not twisted or unduly stretched.
• To remove the „Easy-On slipper" from
the stocking, draw the stocking up
from the toes towards and over the
heel. Avoid creases as they could
result in painful constrictions.
The „Easy-On slipper" can now be
removed easily.
• Now pull the forefoot part of the
stocking back over the heel and foot
and smooth it out evenly towards
the toes.
• Ensure that the heel of the stocking is
correctly positioned.
Application instructions
for closed-toe compression stockings
• Ideally you should put on your
mediven compression stocking first
thing in the morning, immediately
after getting up.
• Wear a rubber glove and slide hand
into the stocking, turning it inside out
just up to the heel part
• Then you can comfortably slip your
foot into the foot part.
• Please check that the stocking heel is
correctly in place.
• Pull the stocking up your leg evenly
and in stages, without twisting
the fabric, pulling it at the edges,
or stretching the stocking along
its length.
• Should you have overstretched the
stocking, reach your hands in gently
and distribute the stocking down
evenly with the palm of your hand
until it fits perfectly.
