You can also take the water tank (2) out in order to top it up
with water or when cleaning the appliance. In order to do so
remove the lid (4) of the water tank and lift the water tank (2)
carefully up vertically and out of the Automatic Pour Over
Coffee Machine by the handle (3).
Note: If the water tank (2) is empty or is not in place then the
appliance will not switch on for safety reasons, in order to
prevent the heating element from running whilst dry.
WARNING: Only top up the water tank (2) with cold, clear
water. Do not add any milk or other liquids to the water tank.
Remove the thermo jug (8) from the Automatic Pour Over
Coffee Machine. Now take the filter holder (6) with inserted
coffee filter (7) carefully out of the body (1) of the Automatic
Pour Over Coffee Machine. To make a pot of coffee fill the
coffee filter (7) with a maximum 8 level BODUM® measuring
spoons (16) of filter ground
a smaller quantity of coffee you will require proportion-
ally less ground coffee. Now slide the filter holder (6) with
inserted coffee filter (7) carefully back into the housing of
the Automatic Pour Over Coffee Machine.
CAUTION: Only use the coffee filter (7) supplied with the
appliance. Never use paper filters.
Guide the thermal jug (8) into the Automatic Pour Over
Coffee Machine with the thermal lid (9) and thermal lid cap
(10) in place. Ensure that the thermal jug (8) is positioned
precisely beneath the filter holder (6).
Note: The safety switch (14) detects the thermal jug (8) when
it is in place in the appliance. If the thermal jug is not posi-
tioned correctly in the Automatic Pour Over Coffee Machine
then the Automatic Pour Over Coffee Machine will not switch
on.
Press the ON/OFF switch (15) once to start the brewing
process. The ON/OFF switch will begin to flash green.
After a few seconds the water starts to flow through the
pour over coffee shower (11) into the filter holder (6) and

After the brewing process, when the water tank (2) is

switch off automatically as soon as the thermal jug (8) is
removed from the appliance during the brewing process.
In order to resume the brewing process simply press the
ON/OFF switch (15) again once the thermal jug (8) has been
put back in the correct position in the Automatic Pour Over
Coffee Machine.
Note: Clean the coffee filter (7) thoroughly after every use.
CLEANING
When cleaning the Automatic Pour Over Coffee Machine

never use any chemicals, steel wool or abrasive cleaners.
Only clean the body (1) with a damp cloth.
Never immerse the body in water. Remember that this is an
electrical appliance.
Note: Always disconnect the Automatic Pour Over Coffee
Machine from the mains prior to cleaning the appliance.
Clean the Automatic Pour Over Coffee Machine after every
use. The following parts are dishwasher safe (only in the top
compartment of the dishwasher):

For simple cleaning unscrew the thermal lid (9) from the ther-
mal jug (8). Rinse the thermal jug (8) thoroughly with warm
